Lycos is an exploration, development and production company led by a team of technically experienced professionals taking a bold and disruptive approach to capture and capitalize on opportunities others have bypassed.

We target oil-weighted assets that are underexploited or undercapitalized and offer opportunities for growth. In addition to bringing a track record of value creation for shareholders, the Lycos team takes a disruptive approach to the pursuit of acquisitions and asset development activities, while balancing risk and reward. The Company intends to establish market credibility and accountability that can help drive a clear path towards a return of capital model for shareholders.

Lycos is based in Calgary, Alberta and listed on the TSXV under ticker “LCX”.

Dave Burton

President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Burton has over 30 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry in all facets of petroleum engineering work including reservoir engineering, evaluations, secondary and tertiary recovery, unconventional oil and gas, area development and acid gas projects including work on CO2 sequestration in coals. He has had numerous executive roles and been involved in founding multiple successful start up energy companies. Prior to founding Chronos, Mr. Burton was a co-founder at Raging River Exploration Inc. (“Raging River”) and Wild Stream Exploration Inc. (“Wild Stream”).

Mr. Burton is a professional engineer and a member of the Alberta Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta. Mr. Burton holds degrees in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta (BSc) and a Master of Engineering degree in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering from the University of Calgary.

Lindsay Goos

Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Goos has over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in the disciplines of finance, financial reporting, budgeting, accounting, management, treasury, tax and business development. Previously, Founder, VP Finance & CFO of Imaginea Energy Ltd. and prior thereto Controller of BlackShire Energy Ltd. Ms. Goos began her professional career with KPMG LLP and has held progressively senior roles at various other oil and gas companies.

Ms. Goos is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Arts degree from the University of Saskatchewan.

Kyle Boon

Vice President, Production and Corporate Development

Mr. Boon has over 20 years experience in the Western Canadian oil and gas sector. Mr. Boon most recently was a Founder and the Drilling and Completions Manager of Raging River and prior thereto held the role of Senior Production Technologist at Wild Stream.

Mr. Boon holds a Petroleum Engineering Technology Diploma from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and is a member of the Association of Science & Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET).

Mike Bucholtz

Vice President, Engineering and Business Development

Mr. Bucholtz has served as Manager of Engineering at Lycos Energy Inc. since November 2022. He has over 15 years of experience in upstream oil and gas development, having previously held roles as Senior Exploitation Engineer at Whitecap Resources Inc. and Production Engineer at Canadian Natural Resources Limited. Mr. Bucholtz holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Alberta.

Taylor Law

Vice President, Exploration

Mr. Law is a professional geologist with over 15 years of experience in oil and gas exploration and new venture development. He was a co-founder of Buffalo Mission Energy Corp. (“Buffalo Mission”) and has held senior technical leadership roles, including Vice President, Exploration at Mahikan, along with various senior geological positions across the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Calgary.

Sony Gill

Corporate Secretary

Mr. Gill is a partner at Stikeman Elliott LLP in the Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions Groups. His practice focuses on public and private company creation, growth, restructuring and value maximization. He has extensive experience in the negotiation, structuring and consummation of a broad range of corporate finance, securities and M&A transactions, including public and private debt and equity financings, strategic investments, joint ventures, recapitalizations, restructurings, takeover bids, reverse takeovers, asset acquisitions and divestitures, share purchases and dispositions, plans of arrangement, spinouts and other forms of business combination and corporate activity.

Each Lycos Board member brings a strong track record and distinguished career in both the oil and gas industry and capital markets, having held prominent lead positions within a range of successful companies.

Tom Coolen

Chair of the Board

Mr. Coolen has been a director of Trican Well Service Ltd. (“Trican”) since August 2025, following the acquisition of Iron Horse Energy Services (“Iron Horse”) by Trican. Prior to joining Trican, he served as Chairman and CEO of Iron Horse from 2010 to 2025. Mr. Coolen began his career in 2002 with Schlumberger Oilfield Services, where he gained extensive experience in the energy sector. He previously served as a director on the board of Buffalo Mission prior to its acquisition in 2024 by Rubellite Energy Corp. (“Rubellite Energy”). Mr. Coolen holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Dalhousie University.

Bruce Beynon

Director

Mr. Beynon is a professional geologist with over 30 years of oil and gas industry experience. Mr. Beynon is currently the Vice President, Light Oil at Athabasca Oil Corp. Before assuming the role with Athabasca, in December 2023, Mr. Beynon was the President of Tiburon Exploration Corp., a private consulting company. Prior thereto, Mr. Beynon was Executive Vice President, Exploration and Corporate Development at Baytex Energy Corp.

Prior to the merger between Baytex and Raging River, Mr. Beynon held several positions with Raging River including President, Executive Vice President and Vice President, Exploration. Mr. Beynon graduated with a Bachelors and Masters of Science degree in Geology from the University of Alberta. Mr. Beynon serves on the Board of Southern Energy Corp., a TSXV listed company with focused operations in the southeast Gulf States of the US

Craig Bryksa

Director

Mr. Bryksa brings more than 23 years of experience in the energy industry. He most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Veren Inc. until its combination with Whitecap Resources Inc. in May 2025. Prior to this role, he held a number of senior management positions within the organization, including Vice President, Engineering West, after joining the company in 2006. His industry experience as a professional engineer also includes roles with Enerplus Resources Fund and McDaniel & Associates Consultants.

Mr. Bryksa is a member of both the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Petroleum Systems Engineering from University of Regina.

Steve Buytels

Director

Mr. Buytels is the President of Tamarack Valley Energy Ltd. (“Tamarack”) and brings over 20 years of oil and gas, capital markets, and financial advisory experience. Prior to his appointment as President, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Tamarack from 2020 to 2025. Before joining Tamarack, he served as a Partner and Managing Director at various independent investment banks specializing in the energy sector.

He previously served as a director on the board of Buffalo Mission prior to its acquisition in 2024 by Rubellite Energy.  Mr. Buytels holds a Chartered Financial Analyst Designation and a Bachelor of Management from the University of Lethbridge.

Bruce Hall

Director

Mr. Hall is an independent businessman with over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with a strong background in heavy oil development and a track record for creating shareholder value. Mr. Hall has served in senior executive roles in both public and private companies, including as founder, President and CEO of both Ricochet Oil Corp. and Rifle Shot Oil Corp. Mr. Hall graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering with Distinction and is currently an independent director of two private oil companies.

Brendan Paton

Director

Mr. Paton is the President and COO of Logan Energy and brings over 15 years of experience in oil and gas exploration, development, and acquisitions. He was part of the founding management team of Spartan Delta Corp. from its recapitalization in 2019 through to the reorganization and spin-out of Logan Energy Corp. in July 2023, where he served as VP Engineering. He brings strong technical and operational expertise in building and developing resource assets both organically and through strategic acquisitions. Mr. Paton holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is a Professional Engineer.
